Acid Rain

  1. What gases are the major cause of acid rain? Gases that are the major cause of acid rain are sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide.
  2. Where do most of these gases come from? Most of these gases come from burning fossil fuels by coal burning power plants, factories and automobiles.
  3. Describe a few negative effects of acid rain. A few negative effects of acid rain are it makes water toxic for clams, fish, crayfish, and other aquatic animals. It impacts other animals like birds. It damages forests because it steals its nutrients. It also makes them unable to withstand cold temperatures.
